What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your computer, smartphone, or tablet when you visit a website. They are used to remember information about you and your preferences. Cookies do not contain viruses and cannot run programs on your device.

In addition to cookies, websites also use similar technologies such as browser local storage (localStorage), which allows more data to be stored directly on your device without being sent to a server. This policy covers both types of technologies.

What cookies and similar technologies do we use?

On digitelia.co and digitelia.com.ua, the following technologies are used:

Google Tag Manager

Purpose: Managing marketing tags and analytics.

Containers:

  • On digitelia.com.ua: GTM-MBZGQ5G
  • On other domains (digitelia.co and others): GTM-PCNFT3M2

These containers load on every page automatically when the site loads. Google Tag Manager (GTM) itself is a meta-management tool that does not collect personal data on its own, but it can load additional tags (such as Google Analytics 4, advertising pixels, and other analytics or marketing tools) depending on how the GTM containers are configured. The configuration of these internal tags is managed outside this website, so we cannot fully enumerate all of them in this policy. Vercel Web Analytics

Purpose: Analyzing website performance and visitor behavior.

Important: Unlike traditional analytics, Vercel Web Analytics is designed as a cookieless technology. It collects basic usage data (page views, load time, geographic location) without creating cookies or tracking through browser permission. More information is available in Vercel’s documentation.

Cloudflare Turnstile

Purpose: Protecting forms from automated attacks and bots.

When you fill out a contact form or course registration form on our site, Cloudflare Turnstile performs a check to ensure you are human, not a bot. During this verification, Turnstile may set a small verification data on your device (the current implementation of Turnstile also sets a cookie). This data is deleted after the verification is complete.

localStorage: Remembering Your Language Choice

Key: digitelia.lang

Purpose: Remembering the language you have chosen (Ukrainian, English, Polish, German, French, or Spanish).

This is not a cookie, but browser local storage (localStorage) — a similar technology that stores data directly on your device. When you first visit the site, we detect your language based on your browser language or a previous choice. If you manually select a different language using the language switcher, that choice is stored locally so the next visit shows the site in your chosen language. This significantly improves user experience, but no server receives this information.

What data can you expect us to collect?

Our site collects data through contact forms and course registration forms. The data you provide voluntarily:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional, with country code)
  • Message (free text)
  • Technical routing data (locale, referral source)

This data is sent through the Resend service for email delivery to digitelia.info@gmail.com. Vercel is used for website hosting. No payment card data is collected or processed by our own servers.

At the moment, there is NO popup or banner on the site for managing cookies. Google Tag Manager and other technologies load automatically for all visitors when the page loads. We are open to changing this in the future, but for now, the best we can offer is control through your browser settings (see the section below).

How you can control cookies

You have full control over cookies and local storage through your web browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View installed cookies and local storage
  • Delete cookies and localStorage data
  • Block new cookies, or allow them only for specific sites
  • Receive notifications before new cookies are set

Here is how to access these settings in popular browsers:

  • Google Chrome → Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
  • Mozilla Firefox → Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Apple Safari → Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Microsoft Edge → Settings → Privacy, search and services → Clear browsing data

You can also delete browser local storage (including our digitelia.lang key) through the same browser menus.

If you delete cookies or local storage, on your next visit the site may load slightly more slowly and your language choice will be reset (unless you explicitly select a language again). Vercel Web Analytics will continue to work without storing any cookies.
