Engineering capacity without the recruiting cycle

Hiring a developer well takes months — sourcing, screening, interviewing, negotiating, onboarding — and by the time someone starts, the roadmap has usually moved. A dedicated team gets you working engineers inside your Slack, your sprint board and your codebase in weeks, at the technical bar we hold our own hires to, without the six-month search or the risk of a bad full-time hire.

How it works

  • You define the scope — one developer to fill a gap, or a full squad to own a workstream end-to-end.
  • We staff from vetted engineers — the same technical screening we use internally, not a resume keyword match.
  • They work inside your process — your Slack, your Jira, your code review standards, your standups.
  • You scale as scope changes — add a developer for a crunch, drop back down after, without renegotiating a contract each time.

Not a black box

A dedicated team is not a black box that reports “it’s done” once a quarter. You get direct access to the developers, normal code review, and — for Small Squad and Full Team — weekly reporting from a delivery lead who is actually tracking the sprint, not summarizing it after the fact.

Talk about your team needs — tell us the gap and the timeline, and we will tell you honestly whether one developer solves it or you need a squad.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from a freelancer or a staffing agency?
A freelancer disappears the moment a better contract shows up, and a generic staffing agency often means a recruiter with no engineering background screening resumes by keyword match. Our developers go through the same technical vetting we use for our own hires, work inside our delivery process (code review, standups, sprint cadence), and if a specific person is not the right fit, we replace them — you are not stuck re-running a search yourself.
How fast can a developer start?
For a single developer, typically 1–2 weeks from a clear scope to a working start date — we already have vetted candidates, so this is not a cold recruiting search. A full squad takes longer to assemble correctly, usually 3–4 weeks, because team composition and working style fit matter more than filling seats fast.
What if the developer isn't the right fit?
We replace them. This is a real guarantee, not fine print — a technical mismatch discovered after two weeks costs you two weeks either way, and pretending otherwise just delays the fix. Tell us it is not working, and we start the replacement search immediately at no additional cost to you for the transition.
Who manages the developer — us or you?
Your call, and it can change by tier. Single Developer is usually managed directly by you, embedded in your existing process. Small Squad and Full Team include a delivery lead or PM on our side who runs sprint planning and reporting, so you get outcomes without running daily standups yourself — useful if you do not have spare management bandwidth.
What tech stacks do your developers cover?
The stacks we use ourselves and can vouch for directly: React, Next.js, Astro, Node.js, Python, and React Native / Flutter for mobile, plus the usual cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Cloudflare). If your stack is something else entirely, tell us before we scope — we would rather say no than staff a mismatch.
Is there a minimum commitment?
A one-month minimum, then monthly with a short notice period to end or change scope — long enough that a team can actually get productive (the first two weeks of any engagement are ramp-up, not output), short enough that you are never locked into a bad fit for a quarter.
